UNIT 14 D1

The Blackberry Torch is a very good phone with  many great features such as:
It has a big touch screen so you can zoom in on things to look better and bigger as well as always being a touch of a button away from everything.
Another great feature would be its qwerty keyboard, this is good as it is easy to type and text as the keyboard is small enough to have you hands around it and it is what teenagers are used to typing with so it is easy to hold
Another good thing is the app store they have an app for everything and the majority of them are FREE  this is a good things by having this you will never have a dull moment.
However there is one thing I would change and that would be its battery life as you can only just about go 12 hours on a full battery as it uses it a lot so you can always have it on all day that is one thing i would change and i'm sure many other who have this phone would feel the same way too
however another good phone is the i phone 4s this phone comes with a app called siri this means you can ask it questions and it will answer so you could go "will i need and umbrella today?" and it might reply with "no there is no rain in the forecast" this is a clever piece of equipment this is something that blackberry doesn't have also the iphone has a much wider range of apps which are in the app store another good thing about the app store is that it is easy to use where as the blackberry app world is much harder looking at many other features on these phones i have came to the conclusions that the iPhone is better.
the iPad has many great features such as all the free apps on the app store and how you will never be bored and the i cloud and being able to access in your cloud so you documents music and other stuff will bet there however there is one thing i would change and that would be is the camera as it takes pictures but not of great quality and the zoom isn't very good either and many people would agree if the made this change to a better camera then many more people would buy it.
The MacBook air has some good features such as thunderbolt this is the faster data transferring thing in the world it is also extremely thin and ash extremely loud speakers that can be heard but not seen however although it has all these good features there is one that i would change and that would be how they keyboard is a bit on a slant.
The mps player also has good features such a a 72 hour battery life and it is shatter proof and how it hold a large amount pf songs but they thing i would change would be the fact that it is that the buttons are quite small so male factory workers who have big fingers may struggle or hit buttons that they don't mean to and by changing this they might open this mp3 player to a wider variety of people.

My protocol I used was Bluetooth, there are many positive and negative points to do with Bluetooth.

  • The positive points are:
  •  It quick and easy
  • you can be at other ends of a room and it will still send
  • the picture is normally clear and not fuzzy

  • However the negative points are:
  • It can sometimes take ages depending on the memory span on your phone
  • It wont send if your too far away in distance
  • It can take ages for you to find the pair you want
  • On some phones you need a code to pair with someone else ( which takes time)
  • It's free

Other than Bluetooth though you can use picture message which is just sending the message in a text which is not so good though because the picture normally comes out rubbish and it costs which will take credit off you and will go over if your on contract.

There are many safety issues with using blogsites.  For example:

  • Keyloggers - keyloggers can hack into your device and recognize what keys you are pressing, this is a danger because you may give away private information such as passwords and PINS. You should always make sure the sites you're going on are safe and secure
  • Viruses - using online blogsites might cause your device to occur a virus this is a danger because you can lose all of your personal and private information. You should always make sure your computer is up to date on quality virus software
  • Personal details - there may be an accident where someone posts private personal or company information on to a blog site which could give away  serious details. You should always make sure you only post things on to blog sites that you want people to know and that do not give away personal information
  • Hacking - using public devices puts you at risk of hacking if you leave your accounts logged on. You should always make sure you log off sufficiently after using blogging sites so no one can gain access to your account

Spending too much time on the computer can cause various problems such as eye strains, back and neck problems and well as damaging your posture.  It can also damage your eyes which can cause migraines. Eye strains can cause the following symptoms; soreness of the eyes, bad headaches, blurry vision and dry burning itchy eyes.  If you recognize these symptoms I would recommend that you see a doctor.
Spending too much time on the computer can also affect your social life.  Many people spend less time actually taking to their friends and more time texting and on social networking sites.
Using your computer vast amounts every single day can also cause problems to the environment. It uses electricity which could be used for something more productive. Also many people leave their computers on standby which wastes electricity.
Always remember, don’t spend too much time on the computer, and if you do have breaks every half an hour so you don’t strain your eyes and always switch it off properly.

ALL EMPLYOEES WHO WILL BE WORKING ON
COMPUTERS WILL NEED A  PROPER TRAINING INDUCTION WHERE THEY WILL BE SHOWN AND TAUGHT WAYS THEY CAN KEEP SAFE, SUCH AS:
having a chair which is up straight so your directly viewing the screen, so you don't have to strain your eyes aswells as dulling your screen brightness so the screen isn't so bright which would prevent head aches, migraines and eye strains

What are the main differences when comparing the two technologies described for P4?

  • You can not connect if your in the middle of a country side because there will be no mobile or internet signal, you can use 3g but it will cost money on your phone.
  • A picture messages are bad quality, it is not good and it will give you a fuzzy picture that you can not really see.
  • Your phone can become a mobile hotspot so you can connect it to your laptop. You can then get wireless anywhere and send pictures from your laptop, which will give you a clearer picture.

How to protocols and devices keep data safe?
  • You should change your password regularly  to make sure you do not get hacked - this means people can not damage your data and it will be safe
  • Don't give out too much information in case people that are around you hear what you are saying about your personal stuff and data - make sure you don't tell anyone at all.
  • Keep your files in a place where you will remember where you are putting them, so you can find them.
  • There are viruses that can cause a lot of damage to keeping your date safe, so make you don't download unsafe things and have antivirus software.
  •  Always log out of what you have logged in to, because this can cause hacking. Most Wi-Fi hubs are encrypted so that you will not be hacked and your information will not get stolen or seen.

How do protocols and devices keep data safe?
Research how the methods identified for P3 are protected.

There are many way to keep your devices safe, such as :
  • having a secure password
  • keeping your password confidential
  • changing your password regularly
Encryption:
is now commonly used in protecting information within many kinds of civilian systems such as the computer security institute. Encryption can be used to protect data, such as files on computers and storage devices
